Diet + health tips for daily living

These are the tips I follow every single day in order to be at the top of my game physically, mentally, and spiritually.*

Let's get into it!

Daily diet 🍣

At this point, I eat pretty much whatever I want. I currently believe in a balanced diet, but I have tried other specific diets like keto, Paleo, pescatarian, vegetarian, carnivore, and others… I recommend experimenting and seeing what foods make you feel the most satisfied. It’s also important to pay attention to how you feel the next day after you’ve digested the food. I aim to eat foods that taste good to you, but also give my body the nutrients and energy it needs to thrive. It is always good practice to eat whole, unprocessed foods. AND using nutritious oils and condiments.

Intermittent fasting 🧘‍♀️

I personally practice intermittent fasting pretty much every day. Depending on my menstrual cycle, some days I fast longer than other days. If you are just starting off, skipping breakfast is the easiest way to start fasting daily. You can research the different fasting periods to see the medical benefits. On a daily basis, I fast anywhere from 16 to 24 hours. Of course, there is room for error and balance. I always follow my intuition and allow my body to decide. ✨

Vitamins 💊

I love supplementing my diet with any vitamins or minerals that I may not be getting from my meals. Currently, I’m taking a daily probioticvitamin D3oregano oil, and biotin supplements. I love to switch it up and try different minerals, herbs, or vitamins to spruce up my routine. 🦋 Click here for my Beauty & Wellness recommendations.

Beverages🚰

On a daily basis, I only drink water. Occasionally I will enjoy some coffee or tea. I will rarely ever drink sugary soda, artificially caffeinated beverages, or even alcohol. Use your best judgment, but make sure that whatever you are drinking, you are also drinking plenty of water. The best form of hydration is the purest form of hydration… Drink water. I love sprucing up my glass with some extra minerals, herbs, and infusions, but I make sure to drink lots of plain water.

Exercise 💪

I have gone through phases where I exercise 5 to 6 times a week, once a week, and no exercise at all. A while back, I lost about 30 pounds simply through diet changes and intermittent fasting. I did not start exercising until I had already lost the weight. If your goal is to lose weight, you have to make the most changes in terms of your diet. Starting off with a simple workout Routine like going for a daily walk or a five minute ab workout, will be all you need in the beginning as you create the habit. as of right now, my weekly routine consists of three exercises per week. One or two days I will take a yoga, Pilates, or hiit class. And then one day a week I go to the gym and lift heavier weights to build my muscles. Once you have a consistent routine, the goal of your workouts should be to challenged yourself and grow. I currently use ClassPass because it lets me schedule classes and gym sessions wherever I want, click here to try it for free. (As of right now, I am not sponsored by ClassPass).

Mindset 🧠

In order for all of your physical effort to pay off and actually change the way you feel every single day, you have to also cut out emotional stress, anxiety, & negativity. You must remove any people, things, habits, and energies not helping you thrive. I like to use the mantra: reduce, reuse, recycle. 🚮 First you want to reduce, or limit exposure to unnecessary negativity. Then you want to reuse positive energy by amplifying your gratitude. And lastly, you want to recycle any limitations or negativity by finding a positive angle. Basically, you need to be able to alchemize (repurpose) energy.

There is no right or wrong way to live. It’s all about having faith in your health, and doing all that you can do to maintain faith in your actions. Your belief is the key.
